Reading goal calculator

Turn the pages you have left into a plan for the days you actually read. Choose your dates and weekdays, then take your schedule to paper.

Plan your reading

Reading goal details Whole pages, from 0 to 9,007,199,254,740,991. No commas or decimals. Both dates count, including today if selected. Dates use your local calendar; no timezone conversion. Maximum range: 3,660 calendar days, within 1900–2100.
Reading days (optional)
All 7 days are selected initially. Uncheck days you will not read.

Your inputs stay in this page’s memory. They are never put in a URL, saved, or sent anywhere. Reloading or closing the page clears your plan.

How many pages should you read per day?

Subtract pages already read from total pages, then divide by the number of selected reading days between your start and target dates. This is a page-count plan, not a reading-speed estimate: dense chapters and short pages can take different amounts of time.

A simple example

A 200-page book with 100 pages already read leaves 100 pages. From November 1 through November 10, with every day selected, there are 10 available days: 100 ÷ 10 = 10 pages per day.

Whole pages without overshooting

For 103 pages across 10 days, the average is 10.3. The rounded daily target is 11; the schedule assigns 11 pages on the first 3 days and 10 on the next 7. It totals exactly 103 pages.

Make room for days off

Select weekdays that fit your routine. Leap days count when selected. A date range with no selected reading days has no possible daily pace. A completed goal needs no further pages, even if no days are available.
